TruffleTrace is built around one loop: capture something where the work happens, share it with the people who need it, and keep the history for later.
Capture
Log a task, a needed part, a note or a photo right where you're standing, tied to the tree, row or block it belongs to.
Coordinate
The crew sees the same task list, Things We Need list and message board, so a repair or a delivery isn't tracked in one person's head.
Plan
Check the orchard forecast alongside outstanding tasks when deciding what fieldwork fits the week.
Track
Completed work, delivered supplies and recorded harvests build a permanent history for each tree and block, kept separate from later forecasts.

Common questions
When will TruffleTrace be available?
TruffleTrace is still in development. This site describes the capabilities planned for the first release; there is no public release date yet.
What devices will TruffleTrace work on?
Web, iPhone and iPad are the initial targets and are being built together. Android is planned for a later release and is not available now.
Will TruffleTrace work without a signal in the orchard?
Fast field capture with offline capability is a planned part of the first release, so a note, photo or task can be saved on your device and sync once you're connected. That's a capability we're building toward, not a claim that every part of the app works offline today.
How accurate is the orchard map?
Tree positions recorded from a phone are typically accurate to a few meters, not centimeters. Each record shows its recorded coordinate accuracy rather than implying survey-grade precision.
Does the orchard forecast control irrigation automatically?
No. The forecast gives daily and hourly weather context for planning fieldwork. It is not an automatic irrigation system and does not provide agronomic recommendations.
Is harvest history the same as a yield forecast?
No. Actual recorded harvests are kept clearly distinct from later yield forecasts, so a projection is never mistaken for a completed harvest.
Who can see our orchard's tasks and records?
Tasks, needs, messages and records are organized within your orchard's own account. Detailed access and sharing controls are still being built and will be documented as they ship.
Is the interface shown on this site the final design?
No. Interface previews on this site are illustrative product previews built to explain planned capabilities, not screenshots of a shipped application.
